At home in the north of England, an old woman tunes into the radio. As rain drips into the house, dark manifestations appear in her mind.​

​Rain, Rain, Go Away is an experimental animation that was made on a shoestring budget with only 2 crew members (visual and sound) over a 3 year period between Ireland and the UK. Crafted entirely through intuition without a script, instead, letting ideas and a narrative to germinate naturally in order to create a unique visual/audio experience. 

The film was delicately pieced together with thousands of hand drawn layers and other liquid based elements to create a film that is akin to a painting that moves. Through this meticulous and organic process, new images are made, enriching each frame with depth and texture.
